We have sponsored the local National Guard unit and their Family Support Group since their deployment to Iraq.

We also co-operate with the Fairmont American Legion to provide a Memorial Day yearly program that is attended by several hundred people each year.
We line the main highway through town with American Flags each major holiday weekend.
We sponsor a section of state highway just south of Welcome, Mn in connection with the Department of Transportation for twice yearly ditch cleaning.
We run very active Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen programs in 2006 our VOD entry took second place in the State of Minnesota.
We are currently working with the city of Fairmont to upgrade and modernize the existing Veterans Memorial Park.
We sell Buddy Poppies each year as a fund raiser for Needy Veterans.
We regularly visit and donate recreation funds to both the Veterans Administration Hospital at Sioux Falls, SD, and the Veterans Home at Luverne, Mn.
We have together with the Martin County Service Officers purchased a van to transport local veterans to both the Sioux Falls and Minneapolis veteran medical facilities.
We run a program in co-operation with the Fairmont Police Department to help them check houses of people that are south for the winter. We also assist them with traffic and crowd control at area parades. This program also provides security for live events.
